Michael Bryan is a Tucson attorney, a blogger at BlogForArizona.com, and a political junkie. He founded the Tucson chapter of Drinking Liberally in 2005, looking for a way for people who were politically energized by the elections of 2004 to remain politically engaged without having to do anything but drink a lot; which is what everyone felt like doing anyhow. Mike wanted to create a fun and painless way for people to become and remain involved in political affairs and current events, to network with like-minded people, and to meet more intimately and informally with political candidates, office-holders, and public figures.
Tasha Nelson is a lab scientist at the University of Arizona. She agreed to help grow the Drinking Liberally chapter about a year ago and has been Drinking Liberally ever since. She founded and moderates the monthly book club, Reading Liberally, which grew from Drinking Liberally.
Shasta McManus is a young military wife and mother and a political guru. She's taking a break from Drinking Liberally at the moment as she has been working her tail of as the chief Obama Mama for Tucson; she runs the Tucson Obama office. So should you stop by the Obama office, bring her a beer.
