The Shanty is located at the corner of 4th Avenue and 9th Street across from the 4th Avenue underpass. The Shanty has one of the most extensive selections of beer in the Western United States. If you have a favorite brew that you can seldom find, you'll likely find it here. The staff all know us well, and Liberal Drinkers often get drink discounts not available to all patrons, so let the staff know you are Drinking Liberally.
During those months when weather permits, Drinking Liberally meets in the back courtyard patio. With a mature garden, numerous trees, a fountain and space heaters, the patio is usable all year except the deepest part of Winter.
