What is it with these teabaggers and their eliminationist rhetoric against President Barack Obama? They don't even attempt to pretend that they are not racists any longer.
The latest teabagger caught using eliminationist rhetoric against President Barack Obama is LD 9 Senate candidate, Tyler Mott. (Yeah, I know, Tyler who?)
The Tucson Weekly reports, State Senate Candidate: Off With Their Heads! Or Maybe Not. | The Range:
Arizona Senate hopeful and first-time GOP candidate Tyler Mott says he probably should have taken a deep breath before telling Facebook what was on his mind last August.
At the time, he was thinking about hanging President Obama.
After the president’s decision last year to review, and in most cases stop, deportations of illegal immigrants without prior criminal histories, Mott took to his Facebook page to call for Obama’s head, as well as the head of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
His full post read: “Who the hell does Obama think that he is? His job is to enforce the law. He doesn’t get to arbitrarily decide not to deport people who have been ordered deported. If Obama wants the job of making the law, he needs to back to running for Congress. Or if he wants the job of interpreting the Constitution, then he needs to get appointed to the Supreme Court. Obama and Napolitano should both be hung for treason!”
Stop. Where to begin. President Obama's deferred action policy is an extension of an existing immigration policy to focus ICE resources on the most dangerous criminal element. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano correctly noted that the policy is "consistent with our existing use of prosecutorial discretion." Of course, for teabaggers like Tyler Mott, they believe Latino is synomous with dangerous criminal. The mere presence of Latinos in this country -- legal or otherwise -- is the crime of breathing while brown for them.
Despite Tyler Mott's obvious woeful lack of education in how our government actually works, the President, as chief executive, does in fact get to set discretionary policy to faithfully execute the laws of the United States by way of executive orders. EVERY president has done this since George Washington issued the first executive order in 1789.
Secondly, Tyler Mott doesn't have a friggin' clue what "treason" is. Teabaggers tend to bandy about this word to tar anyone who disagrees with their radical and extremist views with "treason." Idiots.
Finally, "hung" Mr. Mott? Do you have any idea how racially inflammatory and insensitive it is to conjure up this country's long sordid history of lynching black men by hanging? Did your ignorant sorry ass somehow not learn about this in whatever inadequate education you received?
When the Tucson Weekly called Mott to ask if he really believed the president and secretary of homeland security should be "hung for treason," Mott said he had no idea what they were talking about. ("What? Who? I said what? Naw, me?") Yep. Tyler Mott is also a sniveling cowardly liar as well.
After the Tucson Weekly verified the post was, indeed, on his Facebook account, Mott softened his tune.
“Obviously, the hyperbole I was using wasn’t anything to be taken seriously,” he said. “I’m a pro-lifer. I believe in life. I don’t believe in killing people.”
He also took the comment down from his Facebook.
Yes, the new "get out of jail free" card for right-wing extremists: say something outrageously offensive, in this case eliminationst rhetoric against the president of the United States (something that can earn him a visit from the Secret Service), and simply say "obviously it wan't meant to be taken seriously. Ha! Ha! I'm too fucking stupid for anyone to take me seriously!"
You are unqualifed and unfit to serve in public office, Mr. Mott. You are an embarrassment and a disgrace.
Voters in LD 9 have a clear choice: Rep. Steve Farley, who has represented Tucson's LD 28 well, deserves every vote in LD 9 for the Senate seat.
