Jesse Kelly Tries to Hide His Love for Privatizing Social Security and Medicare
Kelly cares more about millionaires than senior citizens

PHOENIX, AZ--Tea Party congressional candidate Jesse Kelly is having his own etch-a-sketch moment when it comes to Social Security and Medicare. In the past, Kelly has not been shy about saying that he would "love to eliminate" Social Security. He said that seniors on Medicare need to "get off the public dole." He told the Tucson Weekly, "it's the biggest Ponzi scheme in history." He described privatization as "the only solution."
But now Kelly realizes that his positions are not popular with seniors, and so he has changed his tune. Kelly says he wants to protect Social Security and Medicare in an obvious and clumsy attempt to convince millions of Arizona seniors that he really cares about them.
Arizona Democratic Party Executive Director, Luis Heredia says that ploy won't work. "Jesse Kelly has told us over and over and that Social Security and Medicare need to be phased out. Ron Barber will go to Washington and fight to protect Arizona's Seniors. But Jesse Kelly cannot be trusted--he will say anything to get elected."
He also told a Sierra Vista Town Hall that Paul Ryan's plan to privatize Social Security is "the only solution for this country."
